Applications are being accepted through Tuesday, July 15, for volunteer committee appointments beginning in the fall of 2025.
Participation in ACS committees is an inclusive opportunity open to members in good standing. Committees support the work of the ACS and provide meaningful professional development and networking opportunities for members. More than 30 ACS Committees are seeking members.
Each committee provides a unique opportunity to engage and include, among many others:
- The Clinical Congress Program Committee, where volunteers can be a part of creating the educational program for the premier surgical event of the year
- The Committee on Trauma, wherein volunteers develop and implement programs that support injury prevention and ensure optimal patient outcomes across the continuum of care
- The Commission on Cancer, wherein volunteers have a number of opportunities to guide the creation of standards and serve as site reviewers
- The International Relations Committee, where volunteers aim to spread the College’s mission globally and guide its international engagement
